Voluntary Short-Term Disability

Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska offers you the opportunity to purchase short-term disability insurance through Lincoln. The amount you pay for these plans is deducted from your paycheck on a post tax basis. This ensures that any benefit payments you receive are not taxed.

SHORT-TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE (Employee Paid)

 

 

Short-term disability (STD) insurance allows you to continue earning a portion of your salary if you are unable to work due to an illness or injury.

  • Eligibility: You are eligible for coverage if you are an active employee in the United States working a minimum of 30 hours per week

  • Benefit Amount: 60% of salary up to a  maximum of $1,000 per week

  • Benefit Duration: 13 weeks. Your benefits would begin after you are disabled for 14 days.
